our beliefs
We believe that doctrinal beliefs are more than just teaching, instruction or suggestions; they are the governing authority for our lives from the Word of God.
Therefore, ST PHILIPS CHURCH submits to the teachings of Christ, who authored and affirmed the scriptures we adhere to.
All programs and activities of St Phillips Church are governed and based upon the following beliefs as outlined in the Bible.
SALVATION
We believe that you must be born anew to get into heaven and that The Bible clearly explains how to accept Christ's salvation. (Romans 10:9 & 10)
We believe that Heaven is a gift available to everyone, but just like any other gift, it must be received. (Luke 9:19‐31)
We believe that once we are born anew, The Name of Jesus gives us victory over our enemy the devil. (I John 3:8)
We believe that everyone has to deal with “the sin issue”, and that we need God’s help to overcome that way of living and thinking. (Romans 5:12)
GOD
We believe in The Holy Trinity (God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit). (Matthew 3:16 & 17)
We believe that Jesus Christ was supernaturally born of a virgin. (Matthew 1:23)
We believe That Jesus Christ is the son of God and that He is the only way to salvation. (Acts 4:12)
We believe that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. And we also expect to see God move in our services. (Acts 5:12, Acts 19:11 & 12)

We believe that every person is called to live victoriously in Christ. (II Corinthians 5:21)
We believe in praying for people and we believe in the ministry of “laying on of hands” as The Bible defines it. (Hebrews 6:2, Acts 8:7)

We believe in sowing and reaping, and that God honors our tithes and offerings. (Malachi 3:10‐12, Luke 6:38)
WE BELIEVE IN THE 3 BAPTISMS UNIQUE TO THE LOCAL CHURCH
