What kind of church are you?
We are a Non-denominational Evangelical Christian Church. We believe as Jesus said in John 14:6 that He is the way, the truth and the life and that no one can go to the Father except through Him. The Bible clearly states that Jesus alone is the mediator between God and man. God wants to have a personal relationship with each person, not through some religious institution, but directly with Him through Jesus. We have written more about this in the section of our website WHY JESUS.
the beginings
Making a long story short, our Lead Pastors, Brad and Amy Beebe, moved to Ireland in 2013 to help with a church in Limerick as Associate Pastors. After about 3 years serving faithfully the Lord began to stir their hearts and they knew change was coming.

The Lord began to give them step by step His new direction. He directed them to move from Limerick to Dublin. They began to take many day trips to Dublin, driving and praying all over the city and surrounding communities.

In almost every conversation they have had there are three questions almost always asked.

-
Why a New Church?
-
Why Lucan?
-
Why St Philips?

You can see those answers below as well as our heart for the church.
why a new church
The simple answer is, when moving from Limerick after serving on staff at a church in Limerick for many years we thought the Lord may want us to hook up with another church somewhere in the city, but then the Lord put “a new church” on our heart.
why lucan
- During all those day trips, and there were a lot, we kept being drawn to Lucan every time. We knew Lucan was where God was leading us.
why lucan
During all those day trips, and there were a lot, we kept being drawn to Lucan every time. We knew Lucan was where God was leading us.
why st philips church
There’s always been one character which always stood out to us in the Bible. Philip The Evangelist. We find his story in Acts chapter 8. It’s only 4 verses but very impactful. Philip was one of the seven chosen by the Apostles to assist them with the work of their ministries. When the church was scattered because of persecution, Philip went into villages and towns and preached the Gospel

Acts: 4-8 But the believers who were scattered preached the Good News about Jesus wherever they went. "Philip, for example, went to the city of Samaria and told the people there about the Messiah. Crowds listened intently to Philip because they were eager to hear his message and see the miraculous signs he did. Many evil spirits were cast out, screaming as they left their victims. And many who had been paralysed or lame were healed. So there was great joy in that city".

When praying about what to name the church the Lord put on our hearts St Philips is the one the Lord gave.

We believe that every church has it’s calling corporately, just as we each do individually. We know St Philips church will be a church which has a heart for evangelism. Our heart and passion is to reach outside of the walls of the church to reach those far from God.
During all those day trips, and there were a lot, we kept being drawn to Lucan every time. We knew Lucan was where God was leading us.
